How the
Technology Works
Air, Water, and Electricity in. Peroxide out.
- Cathode: Oxygen from air is reduced through a controlled two-electron pathway to form hydroperoxide ions.
- Anode: Water oxidation provides the complementary reaction which produced protons.
- Solid Electrolyte: Creates a confined, water-filled microenvironment where electrochemically generated form hydroperoxide ions and protons rapidly combine to form hydrogen peroxide.
